Cut your power bill by 20–30%. Without spending a rupee.
We build, own and run the solar plant at your site. You pay only for the power you use — at a rate set below what your electricity board charges you today.
Your tariff goes one way. Up.
Industrial and commercial electricity tariffs in Tamil Nadu and across India have risen almost every year. Every increase lands straight on your bottom line, and you have no say in it. A solar plant at your own site is the one part of your energy bill you can actually fix.
How zero-investment solar works
- We build it. We pay for it. Design, approvals, structure, panels, inverters, cabling, commissioning — on your rooftop or on open land at your site. Your capital stays in your business.
- We own it and run it. For the whole agreement we operate, clean, monitor and insure the plant. If it underperforms, that is our problem to fix, not yours.
- You pay only for units used. One rate per unit, set at a discount to your electricity board tariff. No capital, no maintenance contract, no spares to stock.
The discount holds as the grid climbs
Our rate is pegged to your electricity board tariff, not fixed in isolation. When the board raises its rate, ours moves with it — and the gap between the two stays. You are not betting on where tariffs go; you are locking in a discount to wherever they land.
Illustrative shape only, to show how the two rates move together. We do not publish rates — yours is quoted in writing after a site assessment, and depends on your landing rate, load pattern and site.
Zero investment, or own it outright
OPEX / RESCO — We fund, own and operate. You buy the units. Best when you would rather put capital into your own business than into a power plant.
CAPEX — You fund and own the plant. We design, build and maintain it. Best when you have capital available and want the full long-run benefit on your own books.
Three things we look for
- 25 kW or more: Our zero-investment model starts at 25 kW. Below that the economics rarely work for either side, and we will tell you so.
- Shade-free roof or open land: A clear rooftop, shed roof, canopy area or open ground at your premises. We survey it and tell you what it can carry.
- Daytime consumption: Solar generates while the sun is up. The more of your load runs in daylight hours, the more of it solar can serve.
Everything after you say yes
- Site survey, structural assessment and system design
- Approvals, net-metering and electricity board liaison
- Supply, installation and commissioning
- Scheduled panel cleaning throughout the term
- Round-the-clock generation monitoring
- Plant insurance for the full agreement term
- Preventive and breakdown maintenance
- Generation reporting against agreed performance
The plant can become yours
Agreements carry a minimum lock-in period; the full tenure is set case by case against your load and site. After the lock-in you may purchase the plant at any time, at its prevailing market value less depreciation for the years it has run.
- During lock-in: We own, run and insure the plant. You buy units at the agreed rate.
- After lock-in: You may buy the plant outright at prevailing market value, less depreciation.
- Tenure: Set case by case — it depends on your load, your site and the system size.
- If you sell the premises: We work with you on transfer or buyout. Talk to us early.
Frequently asked questions
- What does zero investment actually mean?
- You pay nothing to build the plant. Arka Ampere funds, builds, owns, insures and maintains it at your site. Your only payment is for the units you consume, at the agreed per-unit rate.
- How much will I save?
- Our per-unit rate is set at a minimum of 20–30% below your current landing rate. Where you land inside that band depends on your tariff category, your load pattern and the size the site can carry. We put an exact figure in writing after a site assessment.
- What happens when the electricity board raises its tariff?
- Our rate is pegged to the board tariff, so it moves with it and the discount is preserved. You are buying a discount to the prevailing rate rather than a fixed price that could drift out of line either way.
- What is the minimum system size?
- Twenty-five kilowatts. The zero-investment model does not work below that, and we would rather say so at the first call than waste your time.
- How long is the agreement?
- There is a minimum lock-in period, and the full tenure is agreed case by case against your load, your site and the system size. We set it out plainly before anything is signed.
- Can I buy the plant later?
- Yes. After the lock-in period you may purchase it at any time, at prevailing market value less depreciation for the years it has operated.
- What if I would rather own it from the start?
- We support CAPEX too. You fund and own the plant, we design, build and maintain it, and the depreciation benefit is yours.
- Who cleans and maintains the panels?
- We do, for the entire term under the zero-investment model — scheduled cleaning, round-the-clock monitoring, insurance and all maintenance. Output is our responsibility.
- Do you work outside Tamil Nadu?
- Yes. We are registered in Erode and we work across India.
- What do you need from me to start?
- A recent electricity bill, your sanctioned load, and a rough idea of your roof or land area. That is enough for a first view; a site visit follows.
